Welcome to Harbor Light - a fellowship of believers with a heart to be genuine followers of Jesus Christ who demonstrate His compassionate love for all. We also desire to “keep it simple”, not complicating our faith with man-made religion, rules or routines which isolate us from the very people He calls us to reach. Here are a few scriptures which provide the basis for our primary philosophy and approach to ministry:
Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40
“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.” Matthew 15:8-9
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Matthew 9:11-13
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:17-18
Pastor Chip Crosby has been in Pastoral, Bible College and Missions ministry for over 30 years. He has served the congregation of Harbor Light since 1999. His wife Sandy has been teaching and ministering to children since she was young and worked for the Biola University Youth Academics home school program over 20 years.
Pastors Grady and Christina Williams are both graduates of Melodyland School of Theology in Anaheim, CA and were ordained together by the Foursquare Church in 1985. After pastoring in Canada for 24 years (15 years in Calgary, Alberta and 9 years in White Rock, BC), they returned to southern California in 2000 to continue their pastoral ministry here in Orange County. Together with Pastor Chip and Sandy, they now serve as Co-Pastors of Harbor Light.
Harbor Light is affiliated with a world-wide family of churches known as The
Foursquare Church. A more complete presentation of The Foursquare Church and its
world-wide impact can be viewed on-line at www.foursquare.org. The website is very
thorough and informative, and we invite and encourage you to visit the site often.
WHY WE ARE AFFILIATED WITH THIS MOVEMENT
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible is God-inspired. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
THE ETERNAL GODHEAD
We believe God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (2 Cor 13:14)
THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that by
voluntary disobedience he fell from perfection. (Romans 5:12)
THE PLAN OF SALVATION
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing
the pardon of all who believe on Him. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)
SALVATION THROUGH GRACE
We believe that we have no righteousness and must come to God
pleading the righteousness of Christ. (Ephesians 2:8)
REPENTANCE AND ACCEPTANCE
We believe that upon sincere repentance, and a whole-hearted
acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God. (I John 1:9)
THE NEW BIRTH
We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at
conversion is a very real one. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20)
DAILY CHRISTIAN LIVING
We believe that it is the will of God that we be sanctified daily,
growing constantly in the faith. (Hebrews 6:1)
BAPTISM AND THE LORD'S SUPPER
We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward
work. (Matt. 28:19) We believe in the commemoration of the Lord's
Supper by the symbolic use of the bread and juice of the vine.
(1 Corinthians 11:24, 25)
BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is to endue the
believer with power; and that His incoming is after the same manner
pf His first coming to the Church. (Acts 2:4; )
THE GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian;
and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled
life. (I Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22)
We believe that the experience and daily walk of the believer should
never lead him into extremes of fanaticism. (Philippians 4:5)
We believe that divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the
physically sick in answer to the prayer of faith. (James 5:14-16)
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent.
(I Thessalonians 4:16, 17)
We believe it is our sacred duty to identify ourselves with the visible
Body of Christ. (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25)
We believe that rulers should be upheld at all times except in things
opposed to the will of God. (Romans 13:1-7; 1 Timothy 2:1-4)
THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
We believe that all shall stand some day before the judgement seat of
God, and there receive eternal life or death. (2 Corinthians 5:10)
HEAVEN & HELL
We believe that Heaven is the glorious eternal home of all born-again
believers. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17) We believe that hell is
the place of eternal torment for all who reject Christ as Savior.
We believe that soul winning is the most important responsibility of
the Church. (Matthew 28:19-20; James 5:20)
TITHES AND OFFERINGS
We believe that the method ordained of God for the support and
spread of His cause is by giving of tithes and free-will offerings.
(Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7)

As a well established church with a rich and fruitful history, Harbor Light is
currently in a stage of ‘revitalization’. Because of this there are many areas of
ministry that are in transition, or new ministries yet to be born. Some that are
already in place need others to join in and make them more effective. In short,
there are a lot of ways to get involved – and there are the kind of opportunities
that one might not easily find in other churches, large or small.
If you have a desire to be a part of a great church that will have a significant
impact in Orange County for the kingdom of God, and if you want to be a part
of a wonderful fellowship and family of believers growing together in the love
of God, we invite you to make Harbor Light your church home. If you have further questions in this regard, please know that you are welcome to speak to us at any time. You may also feel free to contact us at HarborLightCM@gmail.com.
Once again, welcome to Harbor Light . . .
